Monotype Printmaking You will learn all the basic techniques for creating your own monotype prints using an artist's press. Monotype is an easy-to-learn transfer process where images painted on a plate are transferred to paper through a press. No experience is necessary--my classes are suitable for beginners as well as those looking to expand and experiment with advanced techniques. My classes place an emphasis on practicing, experimenting and learning to let the process lead you to new innovations. The versatility and diversity of possibilities grows as you print more and the process often becomes more enjoyable and satisfying over time. Many people take the class more than once as they get more experienced with the basics. |
